Promotions Assistant Position - Job Description Are you passionate about event planning? Are you constantly updating your Facebook or Twitter everywhere you go? Cumulus Media has an immediate opening for a fulltime Promotions Assistant. This is a great entry level position in radio broadcasting that will get you immersed in all facets of our industry. We are looking for an outgoing, creative, hard-working, music lover to join our Promotions Team. Ideal candidate is energetic, efficient, and capable of multi-tasking in a lively fast paced environment. You must be able to have fun, create station exposure at concerts, sporting and cultural events and have a positive attitude in any situation ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: o Execution of all details involving station events and promotions including but not limited to: Event set-up & break down, coordinating on site entertainment, personal interaction with clients and listeners as well as public speaking to large crowds. o Assist with station marketing plans, strategies and promotional ideas. o Aid in the development of social media strategies including, but not limited to writing tweets, facebook posts, etc. on a daily/weekly basis. o Assist with station website maintenance. o Assist with internal programming and promotional software. o Handle promotional inventory incoming and outgoing and the listener outreach communications. o Light to heavy lifting at times; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
QUALIFICATIONS: o Must have strong communication and public relation skills. o Must be well versed in social media and knowledgeable in mobile marketing. o Must be computer/internet savvy. o Must be at least 21 years of age. o Must have a valid Driver's License with clean driving record. (DMV printout required) o Must be available and flexible to work nights, weekends, and holiday events. o Must have a good attitude and be able to work well under pressure. o Experience in any of the following; promotions, marketing, radio broadcasting, or event coordination are ideal but not required. We are seeking a candidate who works well with others, thinks quickly, is a problem solver, is dependable, and has above average customer service skills.
