Oak and Main Streets preparing for bus crash in front of bank.
More preparation and waiting...
The street is watered in prep for action. The two cars below will be
hit by the bus. The cars are tied
to street with heavy steel cables. When they are hit, they will move
forward and swing into the middle
of the street. The whole area is evacuated including camera operators - in
case cars break loose.

The overhead sunshade is changed from dark to light due to full sun today.
The man in foreground is the camera operator. The camera is operated by
remote control. When
the action starts, he ducks behind the truck to avoid possible flying
glass. This picture is a closeup
of the Lexus and Volvo to be hit.
The bus just went through the cars.
The cars did not do very well... The pictures below will show you why.
First, the bus is big... Second, the front bumper has been made
to go through them! How would you
like to have this bumper for local traffic?
And finally, the poor Lexus has a high speed camera taken out of the
rear. It was filming the crash
from the car's inside. This should make a great sequence!
